Chakrata

Chakrata is a cantonment town and also a sub district/tehsil, in Dehradun district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. It lies between the Tons and Yamuna rivers, at an elevation of 2118 m, 98 km from the state capital, Dehradun. Chakrata was originally a cantonment of the British Indian Army.

Dehradun

Dehradun is the capital of the Indian state of Uttarakhand, near the Himalayan foothills. At its core is the 6-sided Ghanta Ghar clock tower. To the southwest is Paltan Bazaar, a busy shopping area. Just east is the Sikh temple Gurdwara Nanaksar, topped with ornate white and golden domes. In Clement Town to the city’s southwest, Mindrolling Monastery is a Tibetan Buddhist center with shrine rooms in its Great Stupa.

Arrival At Dehradun

Departure from Chennai airport. On arrival Dehradun airport. After arrival at Dehradun, check-in to the hotel. Then proceed to visit Sahastradhara waterfalls, Robber’s Cave, Buddha Temple, Lachhiwala. Come back to Hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Dehradun – Chakrata

Go to Chakrata after breakfast. Once you get at Chakrata, check into the hotel and spend some time relaxing there. Proceed to Tiger Falls, one of Uttarakhand's tallest waterfalls, which is situated at a height of 312 feet, after that. Drive to Chirmiri, a charming plateau known for its birdwatching opportunities and for having some of the most breathtaking sunset views, in the evening. Go back to the hotel and take in the DJ night and bonfire. Dinner and a night at a Chakrata hotel.

Departure

Morning having breakfast and then check out from Hotel. Then proceed towards Dehradun. Finally drop at airport.
